Real Wedding: Jessica & Richard
Good morning Newport Wedding Glamer’s! We hope you all enjoyed your weekend, and are getting back to the work week! If you are having trouble getting back into the swing of things, check out the absoultely amazing wedding of Jessica and Richard at the one and only Belle Mer! The couple who first met in high school, rekindled their friendship in their twenties, decided to have a mini destination wedding at their favorite summer vacation spot, Newport!
Photographs done by Michelle Carpenter captures the day perfectly! Jessica said Michelle was wonderful and captivating and we have to agree! The pictures are beautiful and so is Jessica’s bridal gown designed by Kenneth Pool from the store Mariella’s Creations in Connecticut. What else was breath takingly beautiful were were those floral center pieces by Broadway Florist and that cake by Scrumptions! We love that big bow detail! After their fantastic reception, they couple and their friends danced the night away with entertainment by GMS Management!

A quote from the bride: “Rich and I first met when I was 14 and he was 15 at our high school, St Joseph High School, Trumbull, CT. We were friends all throughout the high school years. We both attended separate colleges and only remained in contact with one another at a few social functions. It wasn’t until our early 20s that we rekindled our relationship into something greater. Rich was 23 and I was 22. We dated for a little over two years before we got engaged. On December 23rd, 2007 it happened. That morning I received a knock on the door and to my surprise was Rich’s proposal. A table was set up in the snow outside our door. It was covered with rose pedals, 2 dozen roses, a bottle of champagne and our champagne flutes. Why We Chose Newport: After a month of searching and many visits later, Rich and I finally decided our perfect wedding would be a mini-destination to one of our favorite summer vacation spots, Newport. Our first visit to Newport, after we got engaged, included the Belle Mer venue, which we both absolutely fell in love with. Throughout the whole wedding process, our experience with the Newport/Rhode Island vendors turned out to be amazing and what totally visioned.”
