As I have said in a previous post, my older sister is getting married this August! Being a bridesmaid, it is a given that I am to help with the bachelorette party. We pretty much have an entire day planned out for the beautiful bride to be, but I am stuck on one aspect….games. Games are always played at the party to celebrate the brides last day of officially being single. So, today, I am asking all of you NWG readers, what are some fun, yet different games to play? I keep researching and coming up with the same few that get old pretty fast! Please share your thoughts, ideas and anything you have done in the past! I thank you in advance XOXO-Samantha

This is your center of attention moment, or I don’t know, maybe you get those all the time. Regardless, the aisle you walk down should be striking. This is a very simple concept, but instead of the small sprinkling of flower petals, why not blanket your aisle in them or on the sides. The more the better, right? An array of candles will give you a warm angelic glow and play off your dress beautifully. Even these patchwork aisles have a certain sentimental charm. Whatever you do, make sure it is just a continuation of your loveliness. ♥Emily

I don’t think my hair has been down in over a week. There is simply no way it can handle this kind of humidity, and its just too darn hot to release the mane! All this to say, I always thought I would want my hair down for my wedding day. However, if you’re having a summer wedding, maybe an updo is the way to go. There is something alluringly romantic about an updo as well. Beat the humidity and be charming all at once. Put your hair up. ♥Emily

Welcome Back! Not only to Newport Wedding Glam, but to reality! We hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July and your extra long weekend! We know that coming back to work after the 4th and that extra long weekend is tough, really tough. As you sit at your desks you’ll daydream about fireworks, drool over the thought of burgers and pasta salad and wish you were still in that 90 degree weather rather than the AC blasting through your office. So, I thought I would let the weekend last a little longer and offer up some 4th of July inspiration! I know I wish I was still in a bathing suit rather than ballet flats and sitting in a pool over my computer chair. So….you’re welcome. XOXO-Samantha

The always amazing True Event recently hosted an event at Crush Boutique in Boston, Massachusetts for brides who wanted to learn about the latest fashion for attending a wedding, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, or bachelor party. They designed some tablescapes for two (see photos) along with some other spectacular vendors like Paper Moss, Petal Floral, a Jenny Packham dress from Everthine, Person & Killian, Fireside Catering. WeddingWire was also on hand for the event. I’ll let the girls from Crush tell you a little more about it in their words: One of the best parts of my job is spending countless hours dressing women for some of the biggest moments of their lives. Often, it’s a first date. Later, they’ll recount how excited they were about their new Crush top and what they paired it with. We’ll talk about where they went to dinner, where the mystery man grew up,

They twirl on their threads spinning from the ceiling or a tree branch nearby. There is no decoration more romantic, especially cascading from where you’d least expect. ♥Emily

I love a sparkly dress, a beautiful white canvas lined with delicate jewels. Not only does the bride stand out in her color, but she also has the whole room reflecting on the way the light catches on her gems. They can be in one place, like little cap sleeves, or they can glitter down the length of the dress. In the hands of the right designer, the beading will find its perfect place. Be brave and thread something dazzling onto your dress. ♥Emily

If you are having your wedding in Newport, if its in the summer and by the beach, why not take it a step further with an underwater wedding? An under the sea theme sounds unusual, but they actually come together spectacularly. For night time weddings especially, the moonlight does wonders to create a mystical underwater glow. Some couples even had their events in aquariums which resulted in sparkling pictures. There can’t be anything as entrancing as dancing through a colorful illusion of the sea. Undoubtedly a challenging venture, but the results are unforgettable. ♥Emily
