Photographed by Tara Lynn Sen Photography on a gorgeous day in downtown Portsmouth, NH, Jamie and Patrick’s romantic engagement session is truly a feast for the eyes. Wrote Tara: “The day of the session could not have been more gorgeous- the sunlight was streaming through the rolling streets of downtown and glistened off of the water of the nearby ports. Jamie and Patrick brought an adorable sign for their Save the Date image and Jamie’s fashionable style made their shots modern and fresh. The day ended with a local couple allowing us unto their private dock for some beautiful shots on the water. The older couple watched us smiling and seemed to fall in love all over again watching the infectious energy and passion between Jamie and Patrick.” Jamie and Patrick chose Portsmouth as the location for their engagement shoot because of their deep emotional ties to the area. “Patrick grew

Janice and Nick’s wedding at Easton’s Beach Rotunda in Newport, RI was a deeply personal, fabulously international, family-centric affair. “Nick and I decided on Newport because of the beach,” Janice said. “The three things we decided that we wouldn’t compromise on were: our wedding was going to be on the beach, our photos were going to be fantastic, and everyone we loved was going to be there.” Family and friends came from around the country and across to globe to celebrate with this beautiful and creative couple. Everyone had a hand in making Janice and Nick’s day special. “Nick’s mother made our cake and Nick’s groom’s cake,” Janice said. “His brother and one of his sister-in-laws baked all kinds of treats for the groom’s table, my bridesmaids helped me make programs, menus, I-spy photo cards for each table, and put together little favor bags for our younger guest, and our best

Happy Monday! Here is an amazing wedding that has a true nautical New England feel with Great Gatsby touches. The ceremony and reception took place at Wychmere Beach Club and was captured by Person + Killian. We can thank Greenlion for all the amazing floral details. Enjoy! Here is a word from Kim from Greenlion: “We made the boutonnieres from boat line into nautical knots, the Groom sported a bowline knot with a sprig of blue thistle (as a tribute to his Scottish heritage). The best man a bowline knot alone, the groomsman and fathers, figure 8 knots. It looked so crisp and stunning on the black tuxes. We used cobalt blue vessels and peacock feathers (the brides wonderful vision) and accented those with white florals. The bridesmaids carried white pomander balls adorned with boat-line roping holders. It was a beautiful Cape Cod wedding.” Click here to view the full, glamorous

When choosing hair accessories for your big day, it’s important to ask yourself these questions: 1. How formal or informal is the setting? 2. What does your dress look like? 3. How are you wearing your hair? If the occasion is in a super formal setting like a castle and you’re wearing a dress fit for Cinderella, you may want to consider accessorizing with a tiara or rhinestone head band. A more whimsical fete in the woods calls for something more nature-inspired like a peacock feather hair clip or a single, white rose. FYI Etsy is a great site to find such items! Some great Etsy shops we found for wedding hair accessories were Which Goose and Preston and Olivia. We also LOVE hair accessories from The Aisle New York, they have a great selection at a great price! Wear either with a loose off-centered chignon or a deconstructed bun and SWOON!

It’s our pleasure today to feature photographs from the truly stunning, ocean-side nuptials of Abby and Andrew. The couple met on the beaches of Newport in 2004 so it made perfect sense for them to return six years later to say, “I do.” The ceremony took place at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island against a backdrop of sand, sun and surf. Thanks to Sarah True of TRUE Event for executing such a polished and pretty affair, we are super impressed and overwhelmed by all the gorgeous details! Leila Brewster Photography thank you for expertly and adeptly capturing each breathtaking moment of Abby and Andrew’s event.
