Maryellen and Brad’s love story began in Florence, Italy where they both studied abroad. Gently weaving aspects of that exciting time in their lives into their wedding day became a happy challenge to the couple and their wedding planner Margaret Murphy of Fancy Pants Event Planning. “We felt overwhelmed by all of the planning at first,” said bride Maryellen.” One look at Salwater Farm Vineyard in pastoral Stoningham, CT, however had everyone convinced that this was to be the setting on their special day. “The vineyard was stunning,” Maryellen said. After choosing a romantic and eye-pleasing color palette of gray and lavender, things started to really come together. “I prefer to play off the details of a venue so that everything looks cohesive,” said Margaret. “Grey complimented the sleek, modern backdrop of the venue which is a converted WWII airplane hanger, while lavender hues and hints of peach appealed to Maryellen’s desire to create

A gorgeous winter day in Newport, a beautiful bride and her handsome groom, an indoor botanical garden bursting with color and the talented photographer, Matt from blueflash photography, eager to capture every precious moment. Rachel and John chose the chilly month of January to say “I do,” but that didn’t stop them from finding lush flora and fauna as a romantic backdrop to their wedding photos.
