We all know that wedding favors tend to get left behind, so why not guarantee yours are taken? Edible wedding favors are one of the newest trends these days! We love when local baked goods from the city you wed are used. For example, cookies or macaroons from Confectionery Designs or Taffy from The Newport Fudgery. Or how about mini wine bottles with personalized labels? We also LOVE mini wedding cakes, cupcakes or cake pops from somewhere like Sweet Indulgence to mimic your wedding cake! Ready made desserts in mason jars from homemade recipes are also a popular and convenient take home. And last but not least, local or homemade jams and jellies with a cute “Spread the Love” label from Miss Pickles Press Etsy Shop. If you’re having a Fall wedding you could make it maple syrup! Whatever you decide, we think your guests will love the idea and be

Today we present to you the wedding of the wonderful Danielle and Rich. The couple who met one random night in Cambridge said it was meant to be and have been inseparable ever since. They agreed they wanted to have a mini destination wedding and decided on Newport, loving the classic and elegant feel of the Regatta Place. We have to say classic and elegant is exactly what their guests got! From hues of purple and blue floral arrangements, bouquets and boutonniere’s by Toni Chandler to a beautiful tiered wedding cake created by Sin Bakery, we couldn’t stop scrolling through these photographs! And speaking of photograph’s Forevercandid Photography did a terrific job capturing the day over all and even getting in some great scenery shots. The bride wore a beaded gown by Maggie Sottero, with her bridesmaids in Amsale. Everything from the invitations to the menu cards were created by One Bella Design and entertainment was provided by DJ Charles Mercer for Entertainment

There is nothing more perfect than peonies! You know those over-sized luscious flowers in a variety of colors from whimsical white to muted purple and every shade of pink in between. It is no surprise when a bride uses peonies throughout her wedding decor, as they look great in just about every setting. They stand out in centerpieces and elegantly compliment your bouquet and even give your wedding cake that perfect touch! Peonies are in their glory from late spring to early summer but can also be used during a festive fall occasion! Another great thing about peonies, they look fantastic with other flowers! Check out 1001 Wedding Flowers to learn about all of the other great advantages using these romantic flowers! Did you use peonies on your wedding day? Tell us where and what color!

Top cocktails by season from Gourmet Galley Catering! Your ceremony is over. You are now a MARRIED couple. Let the fun begin! Cocktail hour starts and everyone hits the bar. It’s packed. What better way to take care of these lines than with some passed signature cocktails? We love encouraging brides and grooms to share a favorite drink with their guests. Not only does it add a personal touch, but often times, adds a SPLASH of color, to coordinate with the existing theme. So, a few of our favorites…by season. Starting with Fall! Fall Spiked Apple Cider Warm apple cider is a classic during the Fall months – and spiked, even better! Here are a few options to pair with this tasty beverage: Spiced Rum Caramel Vodka Spice Box Whiskey Winter Spiced Mulled Wine 750ml red wine 2/3 cup castor sugar 1/2 cup orange juice peel of one lemon peel

One trend we are seeing becoming more and more popular is the cocktail hour before the reception. It is essentially a preview party for the BIG party! And what is the most important part about cocktail hour? The cocktails of course! We love when the brides choose cocktails that fit into their color scheme or their wedding day theme! We asked our friends at Mcgrath Clambakes what their most popular cocktail hour drinks were and here is what they had to offer. Just looking at these recipe’s makes our mouth water… Appletini Great for the Fall and Summer seasons, the appletini is a mix of vodka and apple Schnapps garnished with a slice of green apple! We are loving the idea of the Bailey’s Caramel Appletini for the Fall, to make these use Bailey Caramel Irish Creme, an apple flavored vodka, 1 teaspoon of caramel and garnish with an apple

He got down on one knee, popped the question and you said yes! Not only did you say yes to him, you said yes to his family and him to yours. When it comes to planning a wedding the roles can get a bit tricky when it comes to family and what each person is responsible for. Below, is a list of some key family members and the roles they should play throughout your wedding! (You’re Welcome) Mother of the Bride The mother of the bride helps her daughter with things like visiting different venues and vendors, helping her find the perfect gown and keeping up with the guest list. She usually chooses what she will be wearing before the grooms mother and heads the receiving line at the reception. She also plays a big role in the bridal shower and rehearsal dinner, making sure everything is running smoothly. Some

Welcome back NW Glamer’s! We hope you had a great weekend! Today, we bring you another great wedding of Cindy and Brock, put together by Sarah True of True Event. Held in Connecticut at the Stamford Yacht Club (who also did the catering) Cindy and Brock’s day looked picture perfect! And the pictures done by Leila Brewster are perfect aren’t they? The breath taking bride with hair and make up done by Jennie Fresa looked beautiful in her gown and birdcage veil. Botanica Floral Studio Design created the colorful floral centerpieces which accented the delicate table design (which we LOVE!) For entertainment, the newlyweds decided on having the Steel Drum Band perform at their cocktail hour and DJ Eric Visa during their ceremony and reception. We love the idea of having different types of music! Click here to view the full, glamorous gallery of images! Congratulations Cindy and Brock!
