I’ve written about rain on your wedding day, but what about snow? Although it is more likely to rain, if you have a winter wedding booked there is always that possibility. Once again, many brides may take the inclement weather as a damper on the day, but I say you embrace it! What else could bring some extra romance than some flurries falling frequently from the sky. Not only will it make your wedding day winter white, there is something about the snow falling that makes people feel oh so romantic. So, ignore the sleet and slush and use the arctic temps as a photo opp of course! XOXO-Samantha

Vintage is always charming, so why not have an old typewriter at your wedding? Guests can write their congratulations or share their words of wisdom in an old fashioned style. Even if it isn’t put to work, it pairs well with a guestbook. You could also send out invitations in typewriter font or use the buttons as table numbers if you really want to keep to the theme. Whatever the use, I am sure an old typewriter would turn into a memorable detail in your fairytale day. -Emily

Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved anything with bow. Those little white socks with a tiny ribbon at the ankle or a headband with one perfectly tied to the side, I couldn’t get enough. They were everywhere when we were little and have continued to make an appearance in jewelry and on tops and shoes! Well, it is safe to say that my love for bows can continue with the trend making its way into the wedding industry. From cake toppers to invitations and dresses to purses, a simple bow can give what ever it is placed on a more girly feel, and really tie everything together (no pun intended.) Maybe, it’s just me, but I have a feeling I’m not the only one who likes a good bow every now and again… Did you use bows throughout your wedding day decor? Comment below and let

We’ve all heard “At Last” by Etta James or “Wind Beneath My Wings” by Bette Midler, one too many times as someone’s wedding song. Am I right? The couple enter as newlyweds, and the music begins. It just takes the first few chords and you hear a sigh or an “awww” throughout the crowd. That oh so familiar song comes on and your guests take solace in hearing that friendly and frequently played tune. Now, I am not putting down either of these songs, “At Last’ happens to be one of my favorites, but they do become a tad bit over done. Why not surprise your guests with something new and less traditional? What about a song that rings a special bell for you and your new hubby? Whether its fast or slow, we say reconsider before you pick “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion and choose something other

One of the biggest stress factors of planning a wedding has to be the seating chart! Who to sit where and who not to sit next to who. It can make your brain run in circles! So, why not get rid of it and let your guests mingle? It is a party after all. As of late, couples have been foregoing the oh so popular seating chart and letting their guests choose where they enjoy their fish or filet. Now, we aren’t saying this sort of thing works for every wedding reception, but maybe for yours. Not having a seating plan will most likely make the most sense for smaller, more intimate weddings. So, if you are having a smaller soiree, why not? That way you can’t be blamed for sitting Aunt Sue next to Uncle Joe and keep the focus on whats really important….you!

In the past, many brides have stuck to the traditional french manicure for their wedding day nails. It is simple, timeless and never fails to look bad, so we don’t blame them. These days, brides are taking the less classic, bold route and adding some color to their typically white attire. Flashy fingertips are definitely making a scene in today’s weddings! Whether red or neutral, a touch of sparkle, or your something blue, we hope the colored nail trend will stick around for quite awhile! Don’t you?
