When I was younger, I thought the act of dancing was what actually married two people. Silly, but dancing does typically embody the celebration. As fun as it can be, not everyone expresses themselves that way. Happiness has many outlets.
Brainstorm with your fiancé, party, or planner. Come up with something you enjoy and turn it into a reception event. Here is your chance to play croquet in high heels or have team scrabble matches. Celebrate in your way. Also, life offers very few venues where every person you love is present, so create opportunities to interact in memorable ways.
There is nothing in the rules that says you have to follow them. Reflect who you are, and do what you love. Everyone invited will follow suit.
